Story:-Story is based on the small town of Ramgarh. It is in the long mountains and hilly areas. The small town which is living in much happiest manner is threatened and pressurized by the gang of robbers and the leader Gabbar. Due to his continuous harassment and pressure in the town, one retired police officer from the town Thakur (Sanjeev Kumar) hires two men. These two men are the thieves arrested by the Thakur at his younger age. After the request from the Thakur, these two men Jay (Amitabh Bachchan) and Veeru (Dharmendra) arrive in the Ramgarh. After their arrival, the real story begins in the Ramgarh where they meet the Basanti( Hema Malini) and Radha ( Jaya Bhaduri).

Sholay is one of the triumph in the history of the Indian Cinema. It was released with many new factors and techniques. It is also one of the biggest classics made in the Indian Cinema.

Character build was one of the major factors in the Success of the film. Each character had pure Indianness. The characters in the film Jay, Viru, Radha, Gabbar, Thakur, Basanti had totally different contrast from each other. The main character Jay was considered the most extrovert person in the film. On another hand, the second character Jay was considered a mixture of introvert and extrovert. He knew perfectly when to stay quiet and when to raise his voice. Other characters Basanti was most chatty girl shown in the movie; Radha was shown to be lost in her own world. She was shown shy and loner in the film. Jay and Viru are yet shown as a perfect symbol of friendship. Villan Gabbar Singh was shown most crual and dirty. His fear existed in every children's mind in such a way that all the children are told to sleep early due to fear of Gabbar Singh. This film is the entire revision for all the writers and filmmakers about a perfect example of a perfect film.
Music is too an epic saga here. All the songs and the background music done by R.D Burman will never be every recreated again by any musician in any film. Perfect film needs the perfect music; Perfect acting and perfect writing. All these three elements have been attached in a beautiful way in the film.
All the contributors to the film deserves success.
Classics are made only once. Not again and not remade.
