Story:-  The story is about the Vishal(Ajay Devgan) who is already married to Swati (Urmila Matondkar). They are in search of the house in Metro City. In the search, they find out one flat at the top of the building. As soon as they enter the house the caretaker of the house warns the Vishal about some odd incident which had happened in the past in the flat. But Ajay Devgan ignores that incident with the view in the mind he doesn’t believe such things and he hides the same incident from the Swati (Urmila Matondkar). Both of them shift together in the flat and some tricky events start taking place. Swati (Urmila) gets fascinated with some things in the building which changes their life. Suddenly one member of the building gets disappeared..and things continue to go on.
The story is the second attempt by RGV after his first superhit Raat. This again holds the nerves much tighter. In terms of the script, this story is just the same concept which is being displayed in many movies. But he is a master in the presentation skills which makes this movie another masterpiece from his factory again. His own style of camera angles…lights…and that slow..but nerve shivering music…Night shoots…makes the audience much frightened. RGV is a master in developing the characters and narrative which are too here in the movie.
Urmila Matondkar:- She is the winner. She plays the role of a wife who later on gets fascinated by the spirit of a Women. She is at her best in the role. Her eyes are much more frightening in the entire film. She will take care to terrify the entire audience until the end of the film. She has involved soo deep the story that sometimes while watching the film we may feel that is she really haunted by the spirit?
Ajay Devgan:- He plays the role of a frightened and caring husband who tries his level best to find out the real problem. He has nothing to do too much in the story since the entire USP is Urmila.

Seema Biswas:- She plays the role of typical houseworker(Bai) who is always in the doubts and fear in the mind.

Rekha:- She is a surprise entry. She plays the role of women who find out the solutions for the haunted spirits.

Fardeen Khan:- He is just OK.

Nana Patekar:- He is a COP.

Meanwhile, I will say the soul of the story is repetitive in most of the movies. But in this movie, RGV has represented it in the scariest way and he is again successful to make the audience shiver again.
