Film Review;- Tanhaji

Film Review:-Tanhaji
Producer:-Ajay Devgan & Tips
Written by:- Prakash Kapadia
Screenplay:- Prakash Kapadia & Om Raut
Starrring:- Ajay Devgan
                   Saif Ali Khan
                   Kajol
                   Sharad Kelkar

Story:- Film is all set in the 17th century on the great leader Tanaji Malusare the great leader and one of the honest man of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. As per the Purandars treaty, Shivaji Maharaj had to donate some forts to Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. It also included the fort Kondhana.  As time passes on, Shivai Maharaj finds out that Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb is all set to make Kondhana as the base in the dakkan. He sends his trusted man bloody killer Udaybhan Rathod to Kondhana to make it much stronger. Shivaji Maharaj decides to stop him via Guerilla warfare techniques and he too plans to recapture the Kondhana. For this mission, he starts searching the experienced man since Kondhana was difficult to capture since it was on situated on much away from sea level. Meanwhile, his men suggest Tanaji Malusare is perfect for this mission. But, Shivajiraje declines this proposal since Tanaji was busy in the marriage ceremony of his son Raiba. As soon as Tanaji comes to know this news, he assures to recapture the Kondhana and he decides to postpone the marriage(Adhi lagin kondhanache mag raibache). He gives a tough fight to capture the fort. He recaptures it but he loses his life.
Director Om Raut is successful in writing the perfect story. He has stuck to the story. He has taken some cinematic liberty on some characters. He has focused more on the practical surgical strikes done by the Tanhaji and his army.
2 hours keep you entertaining with the action, best CGI effects, kicking background music. The writer has taken care not to do too much fiction in doing the film. Hence, no one loses their interest while watching the film. The climax is nothing but a spectacular and USP. CGI effects are too good.

Ajay Devgan looks very intense in the role. His loyalty towards swaraj, his bonding with Shivaji Maharaj, his thoughts on his fellow mavalas….he again proves that he is the best.

Kajol is too good.

Sharad Kelkar gets a lots of whistles on his role of Shivaji Maharaj.

Saif Ali Khan has plays the cruel role but he tends to look funny in many scenes.

In the end, Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj  wins and it charges our hidden emotions with the chant “ Har Har Mahadev''

Such films should be made and they should be watched  again and again  only in theatre to know about Shivaji Maharaj and Tanaji Malusare.

Film Review:- Panipat

Film Review:- Panipat

Director:- Ashutosh Gowarikar

Screenplay:-    Chandrashekhar Dhavlikar
                        Ashutosh Gowarikar

Music:- Ajay-Atul

Stars:- Arjun Kapoor
            Kriti Senon
            Sanjay Dutt
            Milind Gunaji
            Mohanish Behl
            Padmini Kolhapure
            Zeenat Aman
Story:- Story occurs in the 17th century. Maratha empire is on fire. They are conquering one by one fort in India. They had already reached the attak fort situated in Pakistan. Voice of Maratha empire become the biggest voice in India. Other Mughal empires were begging for the mercy from the Maratha Rulers in India. To stop the entire enlargement of Maratha empire and capture their territory, one of the ruler from Delhi begs for the help from the Afganisthan ruler Ahmad Shah Abdali. He was a man who went to his worst to win each and every battle. He starts moving towards Delhi to capture the Entire Maratha Region. This news flies like a cyclone towards the Maratha Empire and their ruler Sadashirao bhau Peshwa travel from Pune to Delhi with around 30000-40000 forces to stop him.

Panipat third battle was fought around 1761. It was the one of the biggest war fought on the land of earth. It was much bigger which was not fully known to everyone. In spite of all the manpower and the skilled force, Maratha empire had lost that battle.  Why the Marathas lost battle? What happened at that time?.. these all the details are shown in the movie.

It is the sincere attempt made by  the director to show this biggest war on the screen in which he succeeds. He shows his master skills in every aspect of film. Hence it keeps hooked on  the chair.

Firstly Ashutosh Gowarikar deserves 100/100 marks for his excellent directional skills in which he has proven himself in making Arjun Kapoor act. Arjun Kapoor tries his best in the Role of Sadashivrao Peshwa.

Kriti Senon looks fresh, Sweet and decent. She has lesser scope as Parvati Bai.

Sanjay Dutt suits perfectly in Ahmad Shah Abdali Character.

Ajay- Atul again prove that they are the masters in music.

Climax is best.

In the end, some things  come to mind.

1.     Our dear ones betray us then the farer ones.
2.     In case either or if the Bajirao Peshwa was alive and he was in the Panipat War…

Movie is celebration of courage and love towards motherland.
Every Indian should watch this untold history  of Maratha empire with the pride in mind and heart.
